Dermody Cleaners is running a food drive in support of the St. Vincent DePaul Society to assist families in need. The COVID-19 virus has struck our community hard, and we want to give back and make a positive impact in whatever way we can.
All members of the community are invited to bring donated items to any Dermody Cleaners location.
Dermody Cleaners has two locations in Taunton, the main store is located at 34 Cohannet Street in Downtown. There is a second location that offers coin operated laundry at 648 County Street in Taunton. Outside of Taunton, Dermody also a drop-off location at 330 Bedford Street in Lakeville and one on Route 6 in Somerset. Store hours are limited, please check dermodycleaners.com for the latest information.
All donated items must be non-perishable and must not be in glass containers. The most requested items are peanut butter, canned tuna, spaghetti sauce, ketchup, cereal, and dry pasta.
The Saint Vincent de Paul Center is located at 141 Washington Street in Taunton and has a food pantry open one night a week for those in need to pickup essential items. They can be reached at 508-823-6676.
